Today's riddle: What is the difference between black eyed peas and chick peas? 🤔 (Answer below!)
1. Here's Where Secaucus' Newest Data Center Will Go (patch.com) — Secaucus residents are learning exactly where CoreSite's next data center is planned and how it could affect both local taxes and regional electric bills. Town officials largely welcome the project for its revenue, while experts and environmental advocates warn that Secaucus' growing cluster of data centers is helping drive up electricity demand and costs across New Jersey.
2. Secaucus Police Blotter, Sept. 7 - Sept. 13 (patch.com) — Secaucus police report several arrests from Sept. 7–13, including shoplifting cases at Walmart and a Route 3 liquor store, a DWI at Green Valley Court, and multiple outstanding warrants. All defendants, many from nearby towns, were processed and either released, transferred, or turned over after posting bail, and all are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
3. NJ Health Camp Hosts Annual Community Health Fair (hiindia.com) — Health Camp of New Jersey will bring its next free Community Health Camp to Shree Swaminarayan Temple in Secaucus on November 15, offering screenings and preventive services for underserved residents. After serving thousands statewide and opening a new community health center, the group plans to provide blood tests, chronic disease checks, education, and referrals right in town.
4. 'An Evening with Gurudev: On Power, Presence, and Peace' (bestofnj.com) — Programs connected to a New Brunswick event are already reaching Secaucus through the Secaucus Vet Center, where Art of Living's breathing and meditation techniques support veterans' well-being. Local residents can also attend the Sept. 22 State Theatre program with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, featuring guided meditation, live music, and a discussion on finding calm amid daily stress.
