Man Stalked Woman Working At Secaucus Business, Police Say

A 70-year-old Jersey City man has been criminally charged after police say he stalked a woman who works at a local business in town.

SECAUCUS, NJ — A 70-year-old Jersey City man has been criminally charged after police say he stalked a woman who works at a local business in town.

The man, John Pitarresi, 70, of Jersey City, was taken into custody by Secaucus Police last Tuesday, Dec. 20.

Police say the victim was an employee of a business in town. He showed up at her place of work multiple times, said police, made attempts to communicate with her and send her written communication.

The woman reported what was happening to police Monday. Secaucus Police went to his Jersey City home the next day; placed him under arrest and brought him to police headquarters, where he was processed for the charge.

Pitarresi was charged with one count of stalking and released from police custody with a notice to appear in court.
