SECAUCUS, NJ — Thefts have been reported at the Secaucus L.A. Fitness in the past, and just last Thursday, a man was charged with burglary and theft at the high-end gym.
As reported in this week's Secaucus police blotter, Noa Lisimachio, 19, of New York City, was charged with two counts of theft, burglary, fraudulent use of a credit car and use of a juvenile to commit a crime, among other charges. It remains unknown if he was a patron of the LA Fitness, or if he worked there.
The victim called police at 8:30 pm. on June 2 to report that items he owned had been stolen out of a locker. He said his credit card, among other items, had been stolen. He also reported to his credit card company that his card had been stolen.

Sometime after that, the victim’s stolen credit card was used at a Walmart to purchase three Apple Watches valued at $1,340.28. Police say Lisimachio conspired with an underage teen girl who also attempted to make purchases at Walmart using the stolen credit card.
Lisimachio was arrested by Secaucus Police at police headquarters last Thursday. Lisimachio was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

In 2018, there was a rash of thefts reported from the men's locker room at the Secaucus LA Fitness: Items that were stolen included valuable bags, designer sweatshirts and jackets and other items. Often, the items had not even been placed in lockers.
Sometimes patrons would put them down and then go to use the bathroom or wash their hands, and then return just moments later to find them gone.
