Bollywood Dance Show Saturday, March 11 12 p.m.

Join us for this special event featuring dancing, music and singing by talented children and adults with the Vasudha Dance Academy. This performance is free to attend and open to attendees of all ages.

Piano Concert featuring Jim Mastronardy Saturday, March 11 3 p.m.

All music lovers are invited to join us for an unforgettable afternoon featuring Jim Mastronardy, singing and playing a mix of popular songs from the 60s through the 80s, and sharing anecdotes about these timeless classics. Hear favorite tunes such as "Downtown," "Moondance" and many more that will have you tapping your toes and reminiscing about the great music of yesteryear!

Every Tuesday, 6:30pm-7:30pm. Get Hooked! Learn to Crochet with Val. Spend an hour with people who enjoy a good stitch, a good pattern or talk about their favorite book! Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies when possible. Beginners are welcome; more experienced crochet workers may wish to bring their own projects. Intended for adults, 16 and up.

Friday, March 10th. 5pm-6pm. Family Trivia Night: Wizarding World. Families with children ages 10 and up are invited to join us for a night of trivia from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. Light snacks will be served and the winning team will win a special Wizarding World themed prize at the very end!

Monday, March 13th. 5:30pm-6:30pm. Literary Legos. Children ages 7-10 are invited to listen to a fun story and build a Lego creation based on that story!

Friday, March 17th. 6pm-7:30pm. Family Fun Night. Make a special St. Patrick's Day craft with instructors Barbara Hennig and Destinee Salinas. Adults and children over the age of 6 (accompanied by an adult.)

Saturday, March 18th. 12pm-2pm. Reception for our Artist of the Month, Bobby "Hairy Hand" Travieso. Stop by the library's second floor meeting room and gallery space to meet our Artist of the Month and view this month's fascinating art exhibition. Light refreshments will be served.

March 19:First-Ever Secaucus Diversity Fair At Rec Center

Tuesday, March 21st. 7pm. Secaucus Gardening Club. Join the Secaucus Gardening Club for a hands-on workshop to get started with gardening. If you are over age 12 and you have a garden of your own, a plot in a community garden, or are interested in volunteering to help with our library garden, please join us! New Members Welcome!

Friday, March 24th and Saturday, March 25th. NJ Makers Days. Celebrate STEM, crafting and DIY culture with two days of fun for all ages! Stop by the library on either day for a free chance to win our NJ Makers Day raffle basket. We'll also have giveaways for children and teens and information about our STEM and makerspace offerings. Our full schedule of programs and demos will be announced soon!

Friday, March 24th. 10am-10:30am. YoBoo 4 Kids. YoBOO, short for Yoga Bootcamp, is a unique take on fitness for children. The aerobic fun of bootcamp with the powerful breathing techniques of yoga take children on an energy roller coaster. A wonderful way to teach children that there is time for energetic fun and a time for quiet breathes. This program is intended for children ages 2-4 and their parent or caregiver. Yoga mats are not required, but registration using the online calendar on the library's web page is mandatory.

Friday, March 24th. 7pm. Watercolor Galaxies for Adults. In this special workshop in honor of NJ Makers Day, participants will first learn the basics of watercolors. Swetha Shenoy, experienced instructor and founder of the Paisley Corner, will guide you through a set of exercises to understand water and brush control. You will also learn watercolor techniques like “wet on wet” and “wet on dry”. At the end of the workshop, participants will use these skills to create two different watercolor galaxies. All materials are provided. This program is for adults over the age of 18 only. Note: If this program is full, please sign up for the waiting list!

Friday, March 31st. 3:30pm-4:30pm. National Crayon Day. Drop in the library and color a picture. Colored pictures will be displayed in the children's area. All ages are welcome! Bookmarks available to those who participate while supplies last.

Saturdays, 12pm-12:30pm. Story Time with Miss Gina at the Annex. Join us each Saturday for a special story time- Registration required!

Mondays, 6pm-6:30pm. Pajama Story Time. Join Miss Gina for this weekly story time at the annex- registration required; pajamas encouraged!

Tuesday, March 14th. 4pm-4:30pm. St. Patrick's Day Craft. Come to the Katherine Steffens Library Annex for a St. Patrick's Day craft. Ages 4-8. Parents must be present.

Tuesday, March 14th. 5pm-7pm. Virtual Reality @the Annex. Have you wanted to try out VR? Do you wish you can travel the world or play games in a new way? Come to the Katherine Steffens Annex location at 5:00pm to try out and use the Oculus Quest 2. You can either play games like Beat Saber or check out videos and tours around the world. Sign up today! Ages 13 and up. We will be running a second session of this program just for adults over the age of 18 from 5pm-7pm on Tuesday, March 28th.

Wednesday, March 15th. 1pm-1:30pm. Drop-in Story Time. Stop by the Katherine Steffen's Annex for a tour of the children's room and a story. For ages 3-5.

Wednesday, March 22nd. 4pm-4:30pm. People In Your Neighborhood Story Time @ the Annex. Listen to a story read by local dentist Dr. Lisa Rossetti-Morano. Learn about how to become a dentist, what a dentist does, and how to take care of your teeth. Registration required. Ages 4-8. Parents must be present.
