Montclair Man Charged In 2022 Secaucus Motel Sex Assault
A Montclair man has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman in a Secaucus motel last September. The two met on a dating app:
SECAUCUS, NJ — A Montclair man has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman in a Secaucus motel last September, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced Wednesday afternoon.
The hotel was not named, but it is located on Meadowlands Parkway, said the county prosecutor.
The alleged sex assault happened on September 10, 2022, a Saturday. However, it was not reported to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit until March 30 of this year.

Fokam Parfait, 25, of Montclair, was taken into police custody Tuesday of this week, April 25.
The woman, 28, told police she met the Montclair man through an online dating app. She said he prevented her from leaving the motel room and she sustained head and facial injuries, in addition to being sexually assaulted.

Parfait is charged with first-degree aggravated sex assault, second-degree aggravated assault and first-degree kidnapping. He was arrested at the Bergen County Jail, where he is currently being detained on similar charges for another incident.
Prosecutor Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit with the investigation and arrest.
