Motorcyclist Ejected Off Rt. 3 Bridge Into Hackensack In Secaucus
Secaucus firefighters, using the department's rescue boat, recovered his body shortly after 11 p.m.; he was found floating in the river.
SECAUCUS, NJ — If you heard a lot of sirens at about 11 p.m. Tuesday in Secaucus, it was a tragic motorcycle accident that occurred on the Rt. 3 bridge:
A young man driving a motorcycle got into an accident and was ejected from his motorbike, falling off the bridge into the Hackensack River below, according to Secaucus Chief of Police Dennis Miller.
At 11:03 p.m., the biker was ejected and went over the side of the bridge into the water, he said. Secaucus fire and police conducted a search of the Hackensack River by boat and Secaucus volunteer firefighters, using the department's new rescue boat, recovered his body shortly at about 11:30 p.m.

He was found floating in the river near the abandoned Empire hotel, said Secaucus Fire Chief Joe Schoendorf.
The deceased is a 28-year-old man from Paterson. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
