• NJ Transit and Amtrak Rerouting Direct Trains in New Jersey for 5 Weeks (thelocalgirl.com) — Secaucus commuters face five weeks of reduced and rerouted NJ Transit and Amtrak service while work shifts the final track to the new Portal North Bridge from October 9 through November 15. Trains between Newark and Secaucus will share a single track, Midtown Direct trains will divert to Hoboken, and extra staff and cross‑honoring on PATH, ferries, and buses aim to ease delays.
