Harmony In Secaucus Likely To Start Recreational Pot Sales 'Very Soon'
Also, the town has been fielding some inquiries from new marijuana businesses looking to open in the area around Harmony Dispensary:

SECAUCUS, NJ — The town of Secaucus has been fielding some inquiries from marijuana businesses looking to open in the area around Harmony Dispensary, according to Secaucus town administrator Gary Jeffas.
At the moment, Harmony is still licensed to only sell medical marijuana.
However, Harmony said on their website they plan to start selling recreational weed "in the very near future."

Harmony has applied for their license from the state to expand into retail sales. Once they get that license, they do not need further approvals from the town of Secaucus. They can begin selling recreational marijuana immediately.
Any other new pot business seeking to open in Secaucus would have to first get a license from the town.

"At this point I have no idea if another business would open in the approved zone," said Jeffas this week. "I have had some inquiries; however, they would have to find a viable location in the limited zone available."
This past March, the town of Secaucus created a very limited zone in which marijuana businesses can operate in town. In fact, the zone is limited to one specific building: The grey, rectangular building on Castle Road that currently houses Harmony. A maximum of five lots inside the building could be used for marijuana-based businesses.
"As of this time, I am not aware of any other company leasing space or purchasing property in the approved zone," said Jeffas on Monday. "It seems some of the outreach is by search firms gathering information for potential clients."
Also at their Sept. 13 meeting, Secaucus formed a first-ever Local Cannabis Control Board, tasked with supervising all marijuana-related businesses and activity in town. The Board's three members are Police Chief Dennis Miller, Town Administrator Jeffas and town Attorney Keri Ann Eglentowicz, according to the Hudson Reporter.
