SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On Aug. 22 at 4:59 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 32-year-old female, Jacqueline Delacruz of Brooklyn, NY along with a 33-year-old female, Eleana Almontes of Mount Vernon, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Both Ms. Delacruz and Ms. Almontes were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.
On Aug. 23 at 2:06 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old male, Thomas Giglio of Gettysburg, PA for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Giglio was issued his motor vehicle summons for driving while intoxicated along with an additional two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody once it was determined he was no longer under the influence.

On Aug. 24 at 12:58 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of Bob’s Furniture located at 3 Mill Creek Drive on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 25-year-old male, Hazir Gordon of Newark, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to law enforcement and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(2)]. The police also arrested a 19-year-old female, Jasmine Scarmazzo of Jersey City, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3A(7)] for providing false information to law enforcement. Mr. Gordon was taken to the Hudson County Jail while Ms. Scarmazzo was issued her complaint summons and released from police custody.
On Aug. 24 at 8:29 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit in relation to a car theft that occurred at 138 County Avenue on Aug. 15, the police responded to 550 Secaucus Road and arrested a 23-year-old male, Qatadaa Majeed of Orange, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A] and Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)]. Mr. Majeed was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
