Secaucus Police Blotter, Dec. 26 - Jan. 1

There was a drunk driving crash on Paterson Plank Road after midnight on New Year's Eve, and more arrests by Secaucus Police:

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On Dec. 28 at 8:29 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 22-year-old male, Engel Paulinogomez of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Garfield, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Garfield Police did release Mr. Paulinogomez on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Paulinogomez was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On Dec. 29 at 7:08 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34-year-old male, Ricardo Nunez of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $1,000. The police also arrested a 37-year-old male, Michael Alston of Maplewood, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Garfield, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Mr. Nunez was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody. Garfield did release Mr. Alston on his own recognizance pending a future court date, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On Dec. 29 at 9:14 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 60-year-old female, Josephine Dimoplon of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Crack/Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Ms. Dimoplon was issued her complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On Dec. 30 at 11:30 a.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division, police arrested a 73-year-old male, John Markovitch of Secaucus, NJ for Possessing a Defaced Firearm [2C:39-3D]. Mr. Markovitch was arrested after entering Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Markovitch was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On Jan. 1 at 2:54 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the area of 1577 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, police arrested a 64-year-old male, William Brennan of Nyack, NY for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Brennan was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody once it was deemed he was longer under the influence of alcohol.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
