A North Bergen man high on heroin was arrested Sunday and charged with shoplifting at the Secaucus Kohl's, said police.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus police, all of last week's arrests:
On Jan. 13 at 9:13 a.m., Secaucus police responded to the Edison Police Department to take into custody a 25-year-old male, Anthony Nelson of Newark, for one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus for the charges of theft [2C:20-3A] and conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)] with no bail along with four outstanding warrants issued out of Newark in the amount of $1,550. The warrant issued out of Secaucus pertained to this theft that occurred at the Bagel Buffet in Plaza Centre on Nov. 17, 2019, where a Secaucus resident had their iPhone 10 stolen in what turned out to be a Craigslist scam. The victim arranged to meet Nelson at the Bagel Buffet after meeting through Craigslist to sell their iPhone, police said. Nelson was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Jan. 14 at 7:49 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus police arrested a 31-year-old male of Secaucus for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], a disorderly person's charge, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. He was issued his complaint summons along with two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On Jan. 14 at 2:08 p.m., Secaucus police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35-year-old female of North Bergen for one outstanding warrant issued out of Jackson Township in the amount of $350. She was released on her own recognizance pending a future court date and she was released from police custody. Unknown what warrant was for.
On Jan. 15 at 4:32 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Union County Jail to take into custody a 47-year-old male of Sunberry, PA for one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $2,500 and one outstanding warrant issued out of Basking Ridge in the amount of $1,000. He was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. Unknown what warrants were for.

On Jan. 15 at 7:29 p.m., Secaucus police arrested a 17-year-old female of Secaucus for shoplifting [2C:20-11b] from Kohl’s, located at 3 Millcreek Drive. The juvenile was released to her parent.
On Jan. 16 at 4:45 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Union Police Department to take into custody a 25-year-old male of Maplewood, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $1,000 and one outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen in the amount of $281. He was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. Unknown what warrants were for.
On Jan. 16 at 8:00 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Haledon Police Department to take into custody a 25-year-old male of Paterson for one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $250. He was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Jan. 18 at 1:34 p.m, in furtherance of an investigation being conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division for a burglary and theft involving a motor vehicle that occurred in the area of the 700 block of 2nd Street on Jan. 10, Secaucus police arrested a 24-year-old male, James Pena of Secaucus and charged him with Burglary [2C18-2A(1)] and Theft [2C:20-3A]. Police say he entered an unlocked car parked on that block on Jan. 10. Pena was issued his complaint warrant and transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Jan. 18 at 3:20 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the area of First Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue on a report of suspicious activity. During the investigation, the police arrested a 19-year- old male of Secaucus along with an 18-year-old male of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] (disorderly persons offense). The older teen was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. They both were served their complaint summonses and released from police custody.
On Jan. 19 at 2:54 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Mercer County Jail to take into custody a 56-year-old male of Trenton for one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $100. The Secaucus Municipal Court released him on his own recognizance and he was released from police custody. Unknown what warrant was for.
On Jan. 19 at 4:23 p.m., Secaucus police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting incident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29-year-old male, Anthony Crossin of North Bergen for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)], Being Under the Influence of a CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10B], Possession of a Hypodermic Needle [2C:36-6A], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2], Hindering Apprehension by Providing False Information [2C:29-3B(4)] and Improper Discarding of a Hypodermic Needle [2C:36-6.1A(1)]. Crossin was also found to have three outstanding warrants issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $7,500, one outstanding warrant issued out of Harrison in the amount of $2,500 and one outstanding warrant issued out of Union City in the amount of $458 Crossin was further charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] for a shoplifting incident that occurred at Kohl’s on Jan. 11 of this year and Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] for a shoplifting incident that occurred at Kohl’s on Jan. 17. Crossin was served his complaint warrants and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
