SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On July 25 at 3:48 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Best Buy located at 3 Mill Creek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 31-year-old female, Megan McGirr of Kearny, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. McGirr was issued her complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On July 26 at 3:00 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 30-year-old male, Tysheem Goode of Newark, NJ along with a 28-year-old male, Dakwain Oliver of Jersey City, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A], Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Theft [2C:5-2A(1)]. Oliver was also found to have one outstanding warrant issued out of Rahway, NJ in the amount of $500. Oliver was issued his complaint summons along with one motor vehicle summons. He was additionally released on his own recognizance in regards to the outstanding warrant issued out of Rahway pending a future court date. Goode was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On July 28 at 3:19 p.m., officers from the New Jersey State Police responded to Secaucus Police headquarters and transferred custody of a 29-year-old male, Noel Yarngo of Staten Island, NY for the charges of Fencing [2C:20-7.1B] and Theft by Deception [2C:20-4]. Both charges were issued by the Secaucus Police after a theft by deception incident was reported to the police on April 1 of this year. Police say he sold a vehicle on Facebook to someone that was later learned to be a stolen car; it was a 2015 Honda CRV. Yarngo was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On at 2:57 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the area of 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 41-year-old male, Luis Rivas of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Rivas was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional two motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
