Secaucus Police Blotter, March 21 - March 27
There were multiple prostitution arrests in town last week:
SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On 03/21/2022 at 1:44 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 36-year-old female, Starkia Matthews of East Orange, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Roselle, NJ in the amount of $500.00 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hillsdale, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00. Ms. Matthews was also charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, brass knuckles [2C:39-3E]. Ms. Matthews was able to post bail for the involved warrants, was issued her complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 03/22/2022 at 1:19 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 29 year old female of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Guttenburg, NJ in the amount of $500.00. She was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 03/22/2022 at 11:21 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 26 year old male of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $50.00. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 5 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 03/22/2022 at 4:28 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Green Valley Court on a report of a theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 69-year-old male, Alfred Viggiano of Secaucus, NJ for Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A]. Viggiano was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 03/22/2022 at 5:21 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28-year-old female, Erick Sierra-Baca of Nyack, NY for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)]. The police also arrested a 28-year-old male, Henry Henriquez-Urbina of Belleville, NJ for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(1)]. Ms. Sierra-Baca was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody. Mr. Henriquez-Urbina was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 03/22/2022 at 8:49 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 48 year old male of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was served his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 5 motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
On 03/23/2022 at 3:45 PM, during a pedestrian stop for failing to use the crosswalk, the police arrested a 36 year old male of Staten Island, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Mays Landing, NJ in the amount of $750.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Little Egg Harbor, NJ in the amount of $500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100.00. He was able to post bail for the involved warrants, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons for Improper Crossing by a Pedestrian [39:4-33] and was released from police custody.
On 03/23/2022 at 10:11 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel located at 40 Wood Avenue on a report of a theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 39 year old female, Yubelkys Silverio-Toribio of East Orange, NJ for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)]. The police also arrested a 45 year old male, Jamall Williams of Teaneck, NJ for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(1)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)]. Ms. Silverio-Toribio and Mr. Williams were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.
On 03/24/2022 at 10:27 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 44 year old female of Clifton, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Wayne, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. She was able to post bail for the involved warrants, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On 03/24/2022 at 12:34 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Bureau in regards to a theft and assault that occurred on 03/18/2022, the police responded to Irving Place and arrested a 60 year old female, Michelle Sciscilo of Secaucus, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)]. Ms. Sciscilo was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 03/25/2022 at 2:40 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Bergen County Jail to take into custody a 49 year old male, Jamal Clark of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ with no bail. The warrant was issued for the charge of Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A] in relation to a theft of a motor vehicle that occurred on 01/10/2022 on Mallard Place. Mr. Clark was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 03/25/2022 at 8:27 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 50 year old male of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Orange, NJ in the amount of $850.00. East Orange did release him on his own recognizance pending a future court date. He was issued 6 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 03/25/2022 at 9:18 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 48-year-old male, Malcolm Sirmons of New York, NY for Robbery [2C:15-1A(1)], Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Refusing to be Fingerprinted [N.J.S. 53:1-15]. Sirmons was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Saddle Brook, NJ in the amount of $250.00. Sirmons was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 03/26/2022 at 8:27 AM, officers from the NJ State Police responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and transferred custody of a 20 year old female of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Skipper was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.
On 03/26/2022 at 1:48 PM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 20 year old male of Passaic, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Wayne, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Wayne did release him on his own recognizance pending a future court date and he was released from police custody.
On 03/27/2022 at 1:43 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 40 year old female, Leyvette Pagan-Cuevas of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $550.00 with a 10% option. Ms. Pagan-Cuevas was charged with Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to Law Enforcement. Ms. Pagan-Cuevas was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued her complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 03/27/2022 at 6:03 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a dispute. During the investigation, the police arrested a 22 year old male of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Brunswick, NJ in the amount of $1,000. He was able to post bail for the outstanding warrant and was released from police custody.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
