Secaucus Police Blotter, Nov. 28 - Dec. 4

There were multiple shoplifting arrests at the Secaucus Kohl's last week:

SECAUCUs, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On Nov. 28 at 9:27 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33-year-old male, Hakeem Torres of Jersey City, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Mr. Torres was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Torres was able to post bail for the involved outstanding warrant. Mr. Torres was issued his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On Nov. 29 at 4:28 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Adore Me Services located at 100 Sinvalco Road on a report of a verbal dispute. During the investigation, the police arrested a 34-year-old male, Kai Esannason of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Elizabeth, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00. Elizabeth PD did release Mr. Esannason on his own recognizance pending a future court date and he was released from police custody.

On Dec. 1 at 10:01 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 25-year-old male, Luis Bido-Martinez of Passaic, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Garfield, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Garfield PD did release Mr. Bido-Martinez on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Bido-Martinez was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On Dec. 1 at 11:42 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 29-year-old male, Alfredo Noriega-Mercado of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Noriega-Mercado was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On Dec. 2 at 3:00 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 56-year-old female, Anadigna Mercedes-Gomez of West New York, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Ms. Mercedes-Gomez was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On Dec. 4 at 7:17 a.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious individual in the parking lot of 101 Plaza Centre Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 55-year-old male, Willi Carter of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $800.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Englewood, NJ in the amount of $750.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bergenfield, NJ in the amount of $500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $200.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Carter was also charged with Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police, Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A] and Possession of Burglary Tools [2C:5-5A(2)]. Mr. Carter was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Dec. 4 at 5:47 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35-year-old female, Latonya Marlin of Newark, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)]. The police also arrested a 40-year-old female, Diane Wilson of Newark, NJ for Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Further investigation revealed that both Ms. Marlin and Ms. Wilson were found to be involved in shoplifting at Marshall’s located at 400 Millcreek Drive and T.J. Maxx located at 3 Millcreek Drive. Both individuals were additionally charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-5A(1)] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-2A(1)] for the shoplifting that occurred at Marshall’s and both were also charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)] for the shoplifting that occurred at T.J. Maxx. Both Ms. Marlin and Ms. Wilson were issued 3 complaint summonses apiece for the shoplifting that occurred at 3 separate establishments and were released from police custody.

On Dec. 4 at 11:04 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old male, Diego Delacruz of Newark, NJ for Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A]. Mr. Delacruz was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union, NJ in the amount of $500. Union PD did release Mr. Delacruz on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Delacruz was issued his complaint summons along with 7 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
