Secaucus Police Blotter, Sept. 27 - Oct. 3

Secaucus Police got a call about a man jogging naked along Rt. 3 last Friday morning, Oct. 1. The man was staying at the Royal Motel.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police; only those accused of serious crimes will have their names published:

On 09/27/2021 at 1:23 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to AJ’s located at 201 Secaucus Road on a report of a fight. While the police were enroute to the scene, a motor vehicle stop of the vehicle that was reported to be involved was conducted. During the investigation, the police arrested a 27 year old male, Jonathan Jachimczyk of East Rutherford, NJ for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], an expandable baton. The police also arrested a 26 year old male of Saddle Brook, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated. Jachimczyk was issued his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody. X was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 1 additional motor vehicle summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 09/28/2021 at 10:28 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Quality Inn located in Lyndhurst, NJ on a report of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Rt. 3 West. During the investigation, the police arrested a 43 year old male of Woodhaven, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Holmdel, NJ in the amount of $164. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 09/29/2021 at 1:41 AM, Secaucus Police observed 2 individuals attempting to cross State Highway NJ Route 3 East. During the investigation, the police arrested a 27 year old male of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office with no bail, along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $5,500.00 with a 10% option, 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $425.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Irvington, NJ in the amount of $250.00 with a 10% option. The police also arrested a 23 year old male of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Orange, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Livingston, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. X was subsequently transported to the Morris County Jail. Livingston did release the other man on his own recognizance pending a future court date, but he was unable to post bail and was transported to the East Orange Police Department.

On 09/29/2021 at 8:40 AM, while on patrol in the parking lot of the Roadway Inn located at 155 Rt. 3 East, the police observed a motor vehicle parked where it was learned that the owner of the vehicle was found to have several outstanding warrants. During the investigation, the police arrested a 38 year old female of Bloomfield, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of West Milford, NJ in the amount of $1,000 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Fairfield, NJ in the amount of $550 with a 10% option. She was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Both the West Milford Police Department along with the Fairfield Police Department did release her on her own recognizance pending future court dates. She was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 09/30/2021 at 9:57 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 36 year old female of Jersey City, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing the police with false information. She was served her complaint summons along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 09/30/2021 at 2:45 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 49-year-old male, Sergio Menendez of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)], Failure to turn over CDS believed to be Heroin to Law Enforcement [2C:35-10C], Tampering with Evidence [2C:28-6] and Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1(A)]. Menendez was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 10/01/2021 at 11:00 a.m., Secaucus Police received a report that there was a male jogging naked in the area of Rt. 3 West. The involved male was located at the Royal Motel. During the investigation, the police arrested a 53-year-old male of Manasquan, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Manasquan, NJ with no bail. Officers from the Manasquan Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of the male for transport to their authority.

On 10/01/2021 at 1:26 p.m., an individual entered Secaucus Police Headquarters and produced a fake driver’s license while attempting to receive a tow release for a previously impounded motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 22 year old male, Mariano Ybet-Abreu of the Bronx, NY for Exhibiting a False Government Document [2C:21-2.1C]. Ybet-Abreu was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 10/03/2021 at 8:45 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the 700 block of 8th Street on a report of a theft of a bicycle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 37 year old male, Jason England of Brooklyn, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500 along with 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of New York with no bail. England was further charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10], Theft [2C:20-3A], Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing police with false information and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2a]. During this incident, the police responded to the BP gas station located at 1320 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a theft of a cellphone. During the investigation of this incident, England was further charged with an additional count of Theft [2C:20-3A]. England was served his complaint warrants for both incidents and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
