SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On Sept. 7 at 11:42 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 57-year-old male, Luis Palma of Kearny, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Oakhurst, NJ in the amount of $1,500 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Arlington, NJ in the amount of $1,270 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Kearny, NJ in the amount of $500 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Harrison, NJ in the amount of $500. Both Kearny and Harrison did release Mr. Palma on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Palma was able to post bail for the outstanding warrants issued out of Oakhurst, NJ and North Arlington, NJ. Mr. Palma was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.
On Sept. 8 at 3:44 p.m., the Secaucus Police responded to the Rodeway Inn located at 155 Rt. 3 East after information was received that an individual staying at the hotel had an outstanding warrant for their arrest. During the investigation, the police arrested a 60-year-old woman, Anne Guidice of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Roselle Park, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Roselle Park did release Ms. Guidice on her own recognizance pending a future court date and she was released from police custody.

On Sept. 8 at 7:31 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 20-year-old man, Josaiah Nazario of Jersey City, NJ for Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-5B(2)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)]. The police also arrested a 43-year-old woman, Andriana Torres of Jersey City, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Kearny, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Ms. Torres was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued four motor vehicle summonses and she was released from police custody. Mr. Nazario was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Sept. 8 at 10:44 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to an incident of eluding that occurred on Sept. 1, the police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue and arrested a 20-year-old man, Demetrius Higgins of Jersey City, NJ for Eluding [2C:29-2B] and Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A], a license plate. Mr. Higgins was issued his complaint warrant along with 7 motor vehicle summonses and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Sept. 9 at 12:18 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a welfare check. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36-year-old man of Secaucus, NJ for Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)]. According to police, the man admitted to physically pushing one of his children to the ground as a means of discipline and appeared to be under the influence of an unknown narcotic. Additionally, he was criminally charged with endangering the welfare of a child because of the overall condition of the room, as well as the children had not been fed that day, said police. He was placed under arrest on an allegation of endangering the welfare of two children. The man was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Sept. 9 at 8:21 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to 110 Park Plaza Drive on a report of an individual who was causing damage to motor vehicles. During the investigation, the police arrested a 45-year-old man, Carlos Colon of Bloomfield, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Ecstasy [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Colon was issued his complaint warrant along with 1 motor vehicle summons and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
