Secaucus Police Respond To Red Bulls Soccer Stadium Brawl
Secaucus Police described the situation as "riot conditions" taking place outside the stadium Sunday night.
SECAUCUS, NJ — This past Sunday evening, Secaucus Police were called in to provide mutual aid when a large brawl broke out at the Red Bulls soccer stadium in Harrison.
The Harrison Police Department requested back-up from neighboring towns, and Secaucus Police described the situation as "riot conditions" taking place outside the stadium.
NBC New York reported the fight broke out after a doubleheader soccer match ended. At least one person had to be taken away on a stretcher. An eyewitness told NBC the fight started over a flag, described it as "bloody" and said many others would have been hurt if more than a dozen police officers had not intervened.

The soccer teams playing were Club Deportivo Olimpia vs. Futbol Club Motagua and Deportivo Independiente Medellin vs. America de Cali S.A.
There were 20,000 people in attendance at the games, said police.
