Secaucus Students Walk Out, Create Giant 'Hope' Symbol
Secaucus teens formed the word "Hope" on the football field, and the High School Select Chorus sang "Imagine" by the Beatles.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Tiny Secaucus was not isolated from the national day of walkouts that occurred yesterday to mark the one-month anniversary of the Parkland, Florida school shooting — and Secaucus public school students participated in a unique way.
In honor of the #NationalSchoolWalkout March 14, students at Secaucus Middle School and Secaucus High School walked out onto the football field to create a message for the students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
This was a "walkout" that had been planned by students and the staff for weeks in advance, school officials told Patch. No student was punished for participating. An aerial photograph of students and staff standing side by side to form the word “HOPE” will be sent to Parkland as a symbol of support.
