Very Small Fire At Plank Road Inn Thursday Night
The fire broke out at roughly 5:20 p.m. and it started on a stove burner. The restaurant was reopen within the hour for St. Patrick's Day.

SECAUCUS, NJ — There was a small fire at Plank Road Inn Thursday night.
The fire broke out at roughly 5:20 p.m. and it started on a stove burner, said the owner of the bar/restaurant.
"We were closed for 20 minutes while the fire department came. And then we reopened again and were packed, serving St. Patrick's Day dinner," he said.

He said Plank Road Inn suffered no damage.
The fire was put out thanks to Secaucus' all-volunteer fire department, Washington Hook & Ladder Co. #1.

"The fire was quickly knocked," said the fire department. "Crews wrapped up operations. The Plank Road Inn was able to open for St. Patrick’s Day with tons of corned beef and cabbage for everyone! Great job by all involved!"
