• Middlesex Water strengthens water systems in South Plainfield and Carteret with $10M Investment (roi-nj.com) — Middlesex Water is investing about $10 million to replace aging water mains and remove lead service lines in South Plainfield and Carteret, with work starting this month. Residents should expect occasional planned outages of up to eight hours and road restoration into 2027 as the company upgrades pipes, valves, hydrants, and installs outdoor meter pits to improve safety and reliability.
   

• Middlesex County to honor residents turning 90 or older in May (mycentraljersey.com) — South Plainfield residents turning 90 or older this year are invited to a special Middlesex County 90+ Birthday Celebration and Luncheon held in Piscataway this May, with space limited and registration required for each honoree and one guest. The county has divided celebrations by municipality, and seniors can sign up or request help through the Middlesex County Office of Aging and Disabled Services or their local senior center.
