$1 Million Lottery Ticket Sold In South Brunswick
The second-prize Mega Millions ticket was sold at a deli in South Brunswick; two third-place tickets were sold in Perth Amboy, officials say

A Mega Millions ticket, with a $1 million prize, was sold at a deli in the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, according to the New Jersey Lottery.
In a news release, state Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger said the ticket that won the $260 million jackpot in Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing was sold in Illinois.
A New Jersey ticket matched the five white balls and that ticket carries a $1 million second-prize. It was sold at Pierre’s Deli, 592 Georges Road, in the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.

The deli is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the township this year. The owner of that deli, Pierre Boutros, said he was very happy for whoever purchased that winning ticket.

Another 20 tickets carried third-prize winnings of $5,000, and one of those tickets was sold with a Megaplier option that makes it worth $20,000. The $20,000 ticket was sold at Citco, 720 Spring St., Route 129 South, Elizabeth.
Two of the $5,000 tickets were sold at C-Town Supermarket on Maple Street in Perth Amboy.
The other third-place tickets were sold in Bergen, Essex, Gloucester, Hudson, Mercer, Morris, Monmouth, Ocean, and Union counties.
Another 197 tickets sold in the state carried a $500 prize, and 20 of those tickets were sold with the Megaplier option, which makes them worth $2,000 each.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, June 2 drawing were: 02, 09, 11, 22, and 23. The Gold Mega Ball was 12, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 04.
