12 Students Honored By South Brunswick PD At Heroes & Helpers Event
The students were treated to a day of shopping at the local Target by the police department.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The South Brunswick Police Department recently celebrated the 7th Annual Heroes and Helper event, where they honored 12 students for their accomplishments.
The students were nominated by their school for their outstanding work and character. The 12 students were treated to a day of shopping at the local Target, by the police department.
Some of the awardees are student council representatives, safety patrol members, bus helpers, classroom helpers, student ambassadors, and peer mediators.

They were involved in various activities like spreading awareness about the youth vaping, serving as the Middlesex County Student State Representative for Incorruptible Us, advocating for school-wide activities during Women’s History Month and reaching out to others to play during recess, to make all students feel included.
“It’s a pleasure to recognize these 12 students for their outstanding efforts. There are over 10,000 students in the district and these young men and women were chosen because they have made a huge positive impact in their school or community. We applaud their efforts,” Police Chief Raymond Hayducka said.

Each honoree was given a framed certificate of achievement, a Target gift card, and their own personal police officer to accompany them through the store on their shopping spree.
The program was funded by a partnership between Target, the two South Brunswick Police Department unions, the PBA and the FOP, the South Brunswick School District Administrators, and Noor Ul Iman School.

- Emma Valentine - Crossroads North Middle School
- Saanvi Pai - Brunswick Acres Elementary School
- Logan House - Greenbrook Elementary School
- Natalie Niper - Cambridge Elementary School
- Ronny Scales - Constable Elementary School
- Vikramaditya Vippaheli - Monmouth Junction Elementary School
- Zoey Foster - Indian Fields Elementary School
- Randy Crotzer - Brooks Crossing Elementary School
- Ella Hajdu-Nemeth - Saint Augustine School
- Noor Ul Iman School – Faaz Qureshi
