43 New Cases, 1 COVID-Related Death Reported In South Brunswick
With hospitalizations in the state declining and residents getting their vaccines, health officials expect a downward trend in cases.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — After seeing a significant decline in COVID-19 cases, last week South Brunswick saw a slight uptick in numbers, said the Office of Emergency Management.
Despite this "anomalous week” health officials said cases appear to be continuing on a downward trend.
This past week, 43 residents tested positive for coronavirus, and one COVID-19 related death reported. In addition, 17 cases were reported from previous weeks.

Among those who tested positive were 20 women and 23 men. Seven were under the age of 18.
Health officials said that with hospitalizations in the state declining and residents getting their vaccines, “we expect our numbers to continue to decline over the next several weeks.”

“We would like to caution our residents that, despite these encouraging signs, we still need to continue to take precautions to make sure that those residents who are at-risk or unvaccinated are protected as well.”
