, Route 27. A high capacity document shredder will be on hand to shred your old confidential papers. Open to the public. After the documents are destroyed they will be brought to a recycling facility. From there they will be bailed and shipped to a pulping mill and made into household tissue and paper towel products.
- Salon D'Arte II

“Salon D’Arte II” is a project of South Brunswick photographer, Sherry Rubel and will feature South Brunswick artist, Art Lee, who will lead wannabe garbage artists in a sculpture workshop. Other artists and activities are: “The CYNZ" Cyndi Dawson –International Wordrocker/Poet/Performer, Henry Seiz - Louis Louis, Blue Zombies and Last Call; Matt Langone - The Waldos, The Bangs and The Trash Mavericks; Dave Post - Swingadelics, Louis Louis; Bob Stockl - The Trash Mavericks, and more. Tattoo artist show and live model “Body of Art” performance and demonstrations featuring Tattoo Artists: Sean Zee and Julio Reichard. Graffiti art show with Trenton muralist and graphic artist Leon Rainbow and photographer Gentrifried Prufrock and Demer and zumba dance demonstration by Leeza Calache.
- YMCA Summer Camp Open House
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. , 329 Culver Rd, Monmouth Junction
The South Brunswick Family YMCA invites all children entering the 1st-8th grade to join them for their Super Summer of Fun Day Camps. Camp hours are from 9:00am-4:00pm. All Camps are located at the South Brunswick Family YMCA. Campers will enjoy their 12,000 square-feet climate controlled Youth Complex and programs including gymnastics, sports, indoor basketball and volleyball, outdoor games, arts & crafts, swimming, weekly special events and talent shows.
- Hugs for Brady Twilight Run/Walk
, 750 Ridge Rd, Monmouth Junction
Help the Hugs for Brady Foundation raise money for the fight against pediatric cancer. Registration: 5-6 p.m.; Kids Fun Run Start: 6 p.m.; 5k Run/Walk Start: 6:30 p.m. Entry Fees: Kids Fun Run: $10 online/mail prior to May 15, $12 day of race; 5K run: $20 online, mail prior to race, $25 day of race.
Sunday
- World War II in Words and Music
2 p.m. to 3 p.m. , 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction.
Come and attend a special concert celebrating Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day in honor of veterans - particularly those who served in World War II. This one-hour presentation will move the spirit with true accounts from those who served during and lived through WWII. Men fought, loved, dreamed, and died all over the world. The words are authentic. The music pays tribute to the courage and soul of a great generation. The production is presented by the Traveling Literary Theater featuring aclaimed cabaret singer Maggie Worsdale.
