Alzheimer's Association Community Education Program: Effective Communication Strategies

How to make your loved one more comfortable by better communicating in their Alzheimer's world

The Alzheimer’s Association can teach you new ways to connect with your loved one! As the symptoms of Alzheimer’s and other dementia disorders progress and the ability to use words is lost, families need new ways to connect with their loved ones. Join us to explore how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer’s, learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease. This exciting program takes place Wednesday, July 22, from 2-3:00 p.m., Monroe Township Senior Center, 12 Halsey Reed Road, Monroe Township. RSVP at 973.586.4300 or online at http://bit.ly/1gd7SL9
