Can Becoming A Human Pin Cushion Better Your Health?
Acupuncture Can Treat So Many Ailments and Injuries

YES it can! Acupuncture, is an alternative type of medicine originating in ancient China, that treats patients by manipulating thin, solid needles that have been inserted into acupuncture points into the skin.
According to Chinese medicine, stimulating these points can correct imbalances in the flow of "qi."
Current scientific research has found that acupuncture is effective for many type of symptoms, ailments and diseases. It is still a very controversial issue. Some traditional medical practitioners do encourgae their patients to incorporate it into their traditional treatments, while others don't believe in its efficiacy.

I was intrigued by acupuncture ever since we had an acupuncturist on our Princeton TV show, "Medical Tips You Need to Know!" He explained the Chinese medicine and his education. He listed the many many things acupuncture can help with. He explained how if the acupuncturist knows what they are doing and inserts the needles properly, you won't feel a thing. Hmmmmmm......well if it wasn't going to hurt, then I wanted to try!
Acupuncture IS covered by many insurance companies. They will give you a list of certified acupuncturists that are covered in the plan so you can choose. Some companies will cover a certain percentage and others don't cover it all, however you may be able to pay from your "Health Savings Account" or "Flexible Spending Plan." So, if you are interested, you should first inquire with your insurance company and see what your options are.

I came across a local acupuncture group after purchasing a "Groupon" so I could see what it was all about. This entitled me to a consultation and first session at almost half the regular price. April was my first visit. After a very detailed consultation, I explained my biggest health concerns to the treater. He understood and agreed we could start working on my allergies and the excruciating pain in my shoulder.
I have had a "knot" in my shoulder where all my stress ends up for years. I learned to live with it, as it never went away. It was almost like a toothache that would get better or worse depending on the day and its level of stress. I was reluctant, but hoping he could do something to ease it.
My first session was many many needles, instered every where, as I laid on my back. From head to toe, there were certain areas he concentrated on to address the issues we discussed. I barely felt anything. Any time I did feel a slight pinch, he immediately moved it or addressed it, as it shouldn't be painful in any way. I stayed still and relaxed for several minutes and then they were taken out.
Onto my stomach, and the same procedure was done from head to toe on the opposite side. A few more minutes of relaxation and all were removed.
I INSTANTLY felt a difference in my shoulder pain. I was shocked. Could this be true? Will it last? It did! I have never had the pain in that knot area again since the first day I went to acupuncture. After ONE session! I lived, day in, and day out, in pain for years for no reason! Had I known that one session of acupuncture could have cured me, I would have ran there a long time ago!
Over the next several sessions, we have addressed back pain, allergies, head aches, foot pain, sleep disturbances and night sweats. I have seen RELIEF or CHANGE with every symptom and every problem. I am beyond thrilled!
It is my understanding that once you go, you either are the type of person who sees instant results, or very soon after the first session or two, or you don't. It doesn't work for everyone. However, if you get lucky enough to be the type of person it does work on, let me tell you, it is phenomenal!
I have referred many friends and family since my life changing experience. Not only to this particular acupuncturist, but to certified ones in their area. Those who have gone are also raving.
Acupuncture can address some, or more, of the following: Allergies, Asthma, Headaches, TMJ, Back and Neck Pain, Insomnia, Anxiety, Dizziness, High Blood Pressure, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Addictions, Indigestion, Constipation, Cancer related pain and/or nausea, Menstrual irregularities, Menopause, Infertility, Stress Management and so much more!!!
If you are reluctant, take my word, it is WORTH A TRY! If it doesn't help, you will know soon on and you stop going and that's that. However, if it does, your life will be changed for the better, without surgery or medication or side effects!!
Some acupuncture facilities also incorporate Chinese herbal medicine into their acupuncture sessions and/or as separate suggested treatment for certain ailments, as most acupuncturists become certified in herbology as well.
