Community Holocaust Commemoration - Yom Hashoah

Sunday, April 19, 2015 - 4:30 to 6:00 PM Temple B'nai Shalom, 15 Fern Road, East Brunswick

This program honors the memory of those lost in the Holocaust and educates our community about the current state of anti-Semitism.  The theme is “N-Ever Again”, alluding to X.  Never - meaning the world should never experience another Holocaust; and Ever - meaning that worldwide anti-Semitism is rampant.

The keynote speaker Mark Weitzman, Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Director of the Task Force Against Hate and Terrorism, will speak about Holocaust Denial and Distortion as forms of anti-Semitism.  The program will feature a musical tribute by the Anshe Segulah Men’s Chorus, directed by Cantor Anna Ott.  Attendees will have an opportunity to have the names of their beloved victims spoken as part of the memorial candle lighting ceremony.
