Crash Causes Traffic Delays On Route 1 South Brunswick
A dump truck crashed into the concrete center divider on Friday morning.
UPDATE: The crash on Route 1 has been cleared. Due to the need for repairs, Route 1 in the area of New Road will be limited to 1 lane in each direction for the next six hours. Expect delays, and consider using alternate routes. Work crews are on the roadway.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A dump truck crash on Route 1 caused major delays on the highway and surrounding roads, South Brunswick police said.
The crash occurred at 6:10 a.m. on Route 1 at New Road. All lanes northbound are closed and southbound lanes are limited to one lane getting by the crash scene.

According to the police, a dump truck crashed into the concrete center divider. Crews are working to clear the crash.
There was a two-mile delay in both directions on Route 1. There were also delays on Route 522, New Road, and Ridge Road. Drivers were asked to use Route 130 as an alternate.
