In conjunction with the current exhibit, When Winter Comes, on view at The Gallery in the South Brunswick Municipal Building through December 26, exhibitor Carole Grand will discuss and demonstrate her approach to mixed media, using a variety of materials and techniques, adding and incorporating changes to layers. Grand’s recent work incorporates images of herself and family, integrating different images or objects into the work.
Grand taught high school art in Brooklyn and not long ago retired from teaching art at Hammarskjold Middle School. She has a BS in art education from New York University, an MS from Brooklyn College, and is active in the Suburban Artists Guild which meets monthly at East Brunswick Library.
