People Are Hungry Everyday Concert tonight at B’Nai Tikvah

In association with the South Brunswick Area Clergy Association, B’nai Tikvah will host a special evening of music tonight at 7 p.m. with the goal of raising funds, collecting food and raising awareness for local food initiatives, particularly the South Brunswick Food Pantry.

Featured performers include Makhelat Hamerkaz, The Jewish Choir of Central Jersey under the directions of Cantor Sheldon Levin and Cantor Anna West Ott. Other featured performers include members of the clergy association, with Reverend Beth Scibienski of Community Presbyterian, Reverend Osy Nuesch of Six Mile Run Reformed Church and Reverend Edwin Arumanayagam of the Nava Jeevan, who will perform with Cantor Bruce Rockman and The Sons of Tikvah Band.

The South Brunswick Food Pantry is in need of the following items:

  • Boxed milk such as Parmalot and Bordon’s
  • Canned meats-chili, beef stew etc.
  • Toilet paper
  • Paper towels
  • Kleenex
  • Snack foods

The “People Are Hungry Everyday” concert is scheduled for Thursday, June 16 at 7 p.m. at Congregation B’nai Tikvah, 1001 Finnegans Lane in North Brunswick.
