Wizard of Oz Film: The Muppet's Version

Contact: Information Desk   (732) 329-4000x 7286   isdeskquest@sbpl.info  As part of the South Brunswick Reads collaborative with the schools, we are going to be presenting a Wizard of Oz film festival on the third Saturday of each month from January through May. The Classic 1939 film was shown in January. Additional film adaptations of the book will be shown on subsequent third Saturdays; February 19 - The Wiz starring Michael Jackson; March 19 - The Muppets rendition of the Wizard of Oz: April 16 - Additional Footage about the 1939 film including two stage adaptations of the book from the early 1900's, a biopic about the author and behind the scenes footage; and May 21 - Cartoon versions of the book, and some trailers of new versions to be released in 2011.  Location: Program Rooms 1A and 1B
