Man, 96, Killed Tuesday In South Brunswick Crash

BREAKING: A 96-year-old Monroe man died in a two-car accident on Rt. 32 at Cranbury-South River Road Tuesday afternoon, police said.

A 96-year-old man from Monroe Township died in a two-car crash Tuesday in South Brunswick.

The man, who was driving a Honda Accord, was struck while making a left turn, police said. The other driver, a 55-year-old Philadelphia resident in a BMW sedan, was not injured. There were no other passengers in the cars, according to police.

The accident took place in the Cranbury-South River Road and Rt. 32 area, police said. The intersection was closed for for hours as a result, causing major delays.

Police are not releasing the man's name, as the accident is still under investigation.

South Brunswick Police Department said in a tweet at the time that there were delays near 8A of the Turnpike for "several hours."
