Prepare for flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage and low-lying areas.

Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall with a total amount of a quarter and half of an inch possible, according to the NWS.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue through 8 p.m. on Thursday.

The ground already remains saturated due to Tropical Storm Isaias and streams and creeks are running high. As a result, much of the area is more susceptible to flooding than usual.

Drivers are reminded not to drive through flooded roadways and to "turn around don't drown."
