Fourth Of July Fireworks Will Increase Traffic In South Brunswick

Police are warning residents about increased traffic expected Thursday because of the South Brunswick Township Fourth of July Celebration.

Police are warning residents about increased traffic expected Thursday because of the South Brunswick Township Independence Day Celebration.

The event will be held Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the fields of Crossroads Middle School, near the corner of Major Road and Kingston Lane.

Police expect an increase in vehicular and pedestrian traffic near the school and surrounding neighborhoods, including Major Road, Kingston Lane and Georges Road.

Police will be stationed in the area. There will be no parking on Major Road near the school.

Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m. Police expected greatest volume of traffic between 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
