Volunteers who will be helping residents are trained and certified in cooperation with the IRS and the New Jersey Department of Taxation.

Appointments are required and no walk-ins are allowed.

AARP asks taxpayers to be present with the tax counselor while their taxes are being done. They cannot drop off forms and pick up their returns later as was done last year.

On appointment day, residents need to bring Photo IDs, last year's tax return, Social Security cards or statements, health insurance information and all year-end tax documents (W-2 and 1099 income, property tax statements, itemized medical, charitable and other deductions, etc.).
