SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 12-year-old Kendall Park boy living with a genetic disease will be the beneficiary of a kickball tournament to be held in South Brunswick in September.

The 6th Annual Kickball Tournament to Benefit Ray and Bacchus will be held on September 19, 9 a.m. at Rowland Park, Cranbury.

Ray Fantel, a Kendall Park resident, was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1. “Ray faces a lot of challenges, but his attitude is amazing. He goes to a lot of medical appointments and therapies, but he does not complain,” his family said on a website that documents Fantel’s journey and hopes to raise awareness on his condition.
