Hazardous Roadways Likely Saturday AM in South Brunswick

Snow is predicted to start between 3 and 4 a.m.; watch out for black ice and icy roadways Saturday morning and afternoon.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Be warned Saturday morning if you're driving in South Brunswick Township: Travel and roadways will likely be hazardous, Township police warn. Icy conditions will start Saturday morning and last till midday.

Snow will start between 3-4 a.m. The snow gets steady for a period, but that is short lived as it rapidly goes to brief sleet, then freezing rain (rain with ground icing). Temperatures will be in the 30s, and there will be ice because the ground is so cold, forecasters predict. Then Saturday afternoon, the rain slows to a drizzle or a few showers. Air temps only rise to the mid-upper 30s, so ice may still remain on the ground. It keeps warming through Saturday night.
