Help South Brunswick PD Solve A Fatal Hit-&-Run From 2019

2 years ago Ronnie VonThun was struck and killed as he was riding his bike. Police seek the public's help in finding the driver of the car.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – The police department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver involved in a fatal hit and run that claimed the life of 49-year-old Ronnie VonThun, two years ago.

Monday, Dec. 13 marks two years since the fatal crash. VonThun was struck and killed as he was riding his bike on Route 522 between Georges Road and Kingston Lane at around 10 p.m., police said. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on Route 522 westbound towards Route 1.

“The South Brunswick Police Department is looking to bring closure to the case and speak with the driver of the vehicle,” the department said.

Investigators are seeking the public's help in locating the vehicle involved in the crash, believed to be a red 2018-2020 Honda Accord. The vehicle would have had front-end damage. Anyone with information is asked to call the South Brunswick Police Department at (732)329-4646.
