Depending on the trajectory of the storm, the school district will take either of the following decisions:

  • If the weather is bad with the likelihood and projection of power outages, the district will opt for a snow day.
  • If there are no power outages, but a snowstorm, classes will be held following the current virtual schedule on Monday. The district will not move to the new schedule until Tuesday, Feb. 2.
  • If the snowstorm continues into Tuesday, in-person classes will be postponed until Wednesday, Feb. 3.

“Opening for our first day, with all of our safety measures in the middle of a snowstorm is not desirable or in the best interest of staff and students,” Feder said.

Parents and guardians will receive information on the final decision on Sunday, through email, a robocall and posting on the district website.
