See The Howard Hall Jr. Jazz Trio: Music of New Jersey Jazz Legends on Sunday, May 5 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane in Monmouth Jct.
Featuring Howard Hall Jr. on piano, Darryl Clark on Bass, and Abdullah Rahman on drums.
Howard Hall Jr. : As an adult, his growing passion for jazz led him to study at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. He has played with jazz artists that include Gregory Buford, Mauricio de Souza, Vince Ector, Thaddeus Expose, Gene Ghee, Bill Ohashi and vocalist Wilma Ann, among others.
Darryl Clark: Clark has performed with jazz artists that include Nat Adderley Jr., Tina Fabrique, Peter Lin, Marshall McDonald, and Kirk Tamura. He has played at a variety of venues including Lincoln Center, Trumpets, The Bitter End, Cleopatra's Needle, Flushing Town Hall, the Priory and numerous festivals in the NYC metropolitan area.
Abdullah Rahman: Abdullah's artistic reputation as a proficient, dynamic yet sensitive live and studio session player has landed him work with notable artists in the industry such as Johnny Mathis, Roy Clark, Lillias White, and Lou Donaldson. His ability to fuse the worlds of Jazz and Classical repertoire garners appreciation from all genres.
