Middlesex County Closes Edison, South Brunswick Test Sites
Middlesex County will permanently close both those drive-thru coronavirus test sites, so the Motor Vehicle Commission can use them again.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Effective this week, Middlesex County will permanently close its drive-thru coronavirus test sites in Edison and South Brunswick, so the Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) can start the process of reusing those facilities once again.
Throughout the pandemic, Middlesex County has been offering free coronavirus testing for residents at both the MVC sites in Edison and South Brunswick, first through the nasal swab but primarily through the saliva test, developed at Rutgers.
The county will still operate a walk-up testing site in New Brunswick, located at A.C. Redshaw Elementary School (216 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick). And next Thursday, Middlesex County will open a new drive-thru testing site in Piscataway at 1 Ericsson Drive, Piscataway, scheduled to open on May 28.

Both the New Brunswick and Piscataway sites will test both symptomatic and asymptomatic for COVID-19.
All the testing is free, but still only limited to Middlesex County residents, however. Because Middlesex County pays for all the testing, it is only open to county residents.
