Milling, Paving Scheduled Released For South Brunswick’s Timber Ponds

During milling and paving, roads will be periodically closed to traffic. Here are the tentative dates:

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The township recently released the schedule for milling and paving to take place in the Timber Ponds section of the township.

Lucas Brothers, Inc., have been contracted to undertake the work for the Timber Pond Roadway Improvement Phase II project.

Milling and paving operations are set to take place from Aug. 23, and continue, weather permitting, through Sept. 1.

During the milling and paving, roads will be periodically closed to traffic.

The contractors have requested residents not park on the street between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., when workers will undertake construction work.

On days that there will be no parking, residents will be notified the day before.

As part of the paving process, a “tack coat” will be applied to the existing pavement. Residents should not walk or drive on the “tack coat”.

Below is a list of the streets where work will be performed and the anticipated start date:

Milling

  • Aug. 23: Janet Way, Concord Drive, & Eleanor Drive (Dickinson Rd. to Dickinson Rd. Intersection) - Limited access – No Parking
  • Aug. 24: Eleanor Dr. (Intersection of Crestview Dr. to Dickinson Rd.), Hamilton Ct., and Musket Dr. - Limited access – No Parking
  • Aug. 25: Adams Rd., Sumter Dr., and Dickinson Rd. to Beekman Rd. - Limited access – No Parking

Paving

  • Aug. 28: Janet Way & Concord Drive – Road will be closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. – No Parking
  • Aug. 29: Eleanor Drive – Dickinson Road to Dickinson Road Intersection – Road will be closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. – No Parking
  • Aug. 30: Hamilton Ct & Eleanor Drive (Dickinson Rd. to Victoria Way) - Road will be closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. – No Parking
  • Aug. 31: Musket Drive, Adams Road & Sumter Dr. - Road will be closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. – No Parking
  • Sept. 1: Entire length of Dickinson Rd. – Road will be closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. – No Parking
