Monmouth Junction Man Charged In Teen Shoplifting Ring

Police arrested a 51-year-old Monmouth Junction man who they say was involved with a trio of teens shoplifting from local businesses.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — South Brunswick police arrested a 51-year-old Monmouth Junction man who they say was involved with a trio of teen juveniles who were shoplifting from local businesses in the area.

The three teens are all from Monmouth Junction, as well. The shoplifting has been going on for the past three months, police said.

The local businesses estimated the value of the stolen property was over $1,000 over that time period.

Police discovered some of the stolen property was later purchased by John Jackson, 51, of Monmouth Junction. Jackson was also linked to driving the juveniles to a local business in June and later purchasing stolen merchandise from one of the juveniles.

Jackson was charged with receiving stolen property and released pending his first court appearance. Three of the juveniles involved were also issued complaints for shoplifting.
