Monroe Woman, 81, Killed In South Brunswick Crash Friday
According to police, at 10:47 a.m. Friday, June 19 Dowling was driving westbound on Henderson Road when she failed to stop for a red light.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — An 81-year-old Monroe woman died over the weekend from injuries she sustained in a motor vehicle accident she got into Friday morning on Rt. 1 in South Brunswick.
Theresa Dowling, 81, of Monroe Township, succumbed to her injuries Sunday at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, according to South Brunswick police.
According to police, at 10:47 a.m. Friday, June 19 Dowling was driving a 2017 Lexus westbound on Henderson Road when she failed to stop for a red light at Rt. 1

The Lexus entered the intersection and was struck by a 2013 Hyundai, driven by a Somerset woman, driving north. Police say the impact sent the Lexus across Rt. 1, striking a 2016 Chevrolet, before coming to rest in the intersection.
The two other drivers and two additional passengers suffered minor injuries. Rt. 1 southbound was closed to traffic for approximately four hours Friday while the investigation was conducted and debris removed.
