Mosque Holds Open Talk about Trump, Islamophobia
All are invited to what is being billed as an "open discussion" Tuesday night at the Islamic Society of Central Jersey.
South Brunswick, NJ - In light of Donald Trump’s refusal to back down from comments saying no Muslims should be allowed into the U.S., a major mosque in South Brunswick announced it will hold a special talk on the issue Tuesday evening that is open to all.
“Trumping our Fears: Faith in the Age of Intolerance” is being billed as ”an open discussion and forum for our greater central Jersey community in light of recent events concerning intolerance and Islamophobia.” It will be held Tuesday evening, Dec. 15 at the Islamic Society of Central Jersey, a well-known mosque just off Rt. 1 in South Brunswick township. This is the same mosque that has received increased police patrols from the South Brunswick police after getting hate e-mail, as Patch previously reported.
The talk, led by Imam Suhaib Webb, begins at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Anyone from the community is invited to attend, organizers say.
