NJ Makers Day at South Brunswick Public Library
'Doings & Demos' on March 21 at SBPL! All ages. Drop-in programs about Food, Technology, Music/Video, Decoupage, Robots, and more!
Enjoy New Jersey Makers Day on Saturday, March 21, by participating in a variety of drop-in activities and demonstrations for all ages at the South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Jct., NJ 08852. Programs take place between noon and 3:30 p.m.
NJ Makers Day is a one-day celebration of maker culture in New Jersey at more than 130 partnering locations across the state.
Come to SBPL be a part of this exciting event! All programs are drop-in; stay as little or as long as you like.

For ages 6 and up, the day begins at 11 a.m. with coding, robots, littleBit kits, and more.
Between noon and 1 p.m., all ages can participate in a fun marzipan sculpting program. Learn to use your hands to mold edible fruits and flowers.

Between 1 and 3 p.m. tweens and teens can make edible art with pancake batter and create cartoon flip books.
At the same time, all ages are welcome to stop by and help to complete a decoupage project with the Library’s Reading Rocks rocking chairs.
In our Smart Lab between 1 and 3:30 p.m. there will be a demonstration of GarageBand and use of the Library’s guitar, piano and microphone to record tracks. There will also be a demonstration of how to use the Library’s video camera and iMovie software to create videos.
