The fatal accident was discovered after police responded to the southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike near Exit 8a, according to the State Police.
Quincy Aubrey Ross, 30, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, who was the driver, was identified as the deceased. Alisa Green of Laurel, Maryland, was injured and was hospitalized, police said.

Ross lost control of the vehicle after driving in the right lane and then hit a guard rail, police said.

The vehicle was traveling on the outer roadway near milepost 72.7 in Cranbury when it flipped and landed in the inner roadway, according to police.
Emergency responders arrived to find an overturned vehicle with a person ejected onto the highway, according to police.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and it is not immediately clear if there were any other victims at this time, according to police.
