World Down Syndrome Day is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations on March 21st, since 2012. This year GiGi’s Playhouse Hillsborough is putting a face and a voice to the individuals with Down syndrome who live in our own backyard.
It’s Great to Be Me is a gallery of depicting the many ages and faces of Down syndrome you can find participating in a GiGi’s program. We asked people to tell us why it is a great to be them, and put their words with their many smiling faces.
