Used bicycles and sewing machines will be collected at South Brunswick High School

This year marks the 16th annual Pedals for Progress collection in South Brunswick.
The collection is again being sponsored by the South Brunswick Education Association, with a grant from SBEA and NJEA to pay the cost of shipping the bikes collected.
Pedals for Progress is a NJ based non-profit organization that sends used bicycles and sewing machines to developing nations. Visit their website, www.p4p.org for more information.

Used bicycles (both children’s and adults’ sizes) and sewing machines are being collected. Items do not have to be in perfect condition (but should be rust free.) Since items are shipped overseas, a donation of $10 per item is requested to help with the shipping costs. Bikes cost over $40 each to ship. Donations are tax deductible, a receipt will be provided. Items can be brought to the collection from noon-3 p.m. in the South Brunswick High School gym parking lot this Saturday, May 30, 2015. Contact Devon Smith atstand4students.org with any questions.
The collection is organized and run by volunteer members of the South Brunswick Education Association.
