Plainsboro Man, 76, Killed In Hit And Run; Woman Charged
The Plainsboro man was hit Oct. 4 while walking in a crosswalk and last Thursday, a New Brunswick woman was charged with leaving the scene.

PLAINSBORO, NJ — A 76-year-old Plainsboro man was hit Oct. 4 while walking in a crosswalk, and later died, and last Thursday, a New Brunswick woman was charged with the fatal accident, as well as leaving the scene.
Biswanath Bera, 76, of Plainsboro died October 24 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, twenty days after he was hit. Doctors performed surgery on him, but he never recovered from the injuries he sustained in the fatal hit and run.
He was hit at 8:03 a.m. on Oct. 4 while in the crosswalk at the intersection of Ravens Crest Drive and Scotts Corner Road in Plainsboro, said Plainsboro police. The driver fled the scene after striking him.

Gregoria Lopez-Rojas, 45, of New Brunswick, was the driver of the 2012 Chevrolet Equinox that hit him, Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Chris Kuberiet said.
She was arrested and charged with knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in serious bodily injury in the third degree and driving with a suspended license.

On October 29 the charges against her were upgraded to knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death.
